With his presence on the North Fork since the early 1970s and living here full time since 2004, Stephen Capozzoli has returned to photography since leaving the medium in 1985. He is now embracing the digital image over the photochemical process. Stephen brings the urban eye he had developed living in downtown New York City in the 1970s and 1980s to his present North Fork photography work. The influences during his college years were the early developing SoHo art and punk rock music scene. Stephen has worked with Paul Tschinkel on his classic Inner Tube video series. He has had video presentations at The Kitchen Center for Video, Music, and Dance as well as photography presentations at The Soho Photo Gallery and 55 Mercer gallery. His alter ego, Frankie Neptune is a published prolific internet writer of thought-provoking short stories and has published a novel: NYPD The Way Things Were.
